The Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances
(RoHS: 2002/95/EC) and the complementary Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE: 2002/96/EC)
Directives are pieces of legislation from the European Parli
ament and Council of the European Union. They affect all
manufacturers of electronic equipment across the 25 EU
member countries, and come in to force this year.
CTRING is committed to supporting both RoHS and
WEEE legislation, and providing you with clear information about our products. All our products put on the market
today are consistent with the RoHS directive; as far as they are affected (some products fall into the category 9
exemption of monitoring and control equipment). And even before today, the products we supplied did not contain
the heavy metals mercury and cadmium, nor did they contain the brominated flame resistant elements polybromin-
ated biphenyl and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
Our policy is to support environmental protection, without legal force, and this means we will eliminate all hazardous
substances listed in the RoHS directive from our entire product portfolio. Therefore, we do not intend to mark any of
our products with a special number or sign to denote RoHS compliance as it will not be necessary.
